Walker - A Sunset Standalone Novel, coming January 2025

I have very exciting news today. It was supposed to be exciting news on Friday, but Amazon dragged their heels on approving it. Crazy, it’s not like it’s a busy time of year for them or anything. My next book release will be coming out on January 3rd, and it’s a standalone prequel to the Sunset Chronicles series called Walker.

In 1988, young Tommy possesses a terrifying psychic gift that makes him the target of a ruthless military agency. As he escapes into the eerie wilderness of North Yorkshire, a deadly game ensues. At the same time, DI Ben Barker uncovers a chilling murder that unveils a dark conspiracy linked to shadowy forces beyond comprehension. When their paths converge, the stakes rise, revealing nightmarish truths that challenge the very fabric of reality.

This is a fully standalone novel, but it also acts as a prequel to The Sunset Chronicles, and it’s available for preorder from Amazon right now. I’ll be releasing both ebook and print versions, and the book will be out on Friday, January 3rd, so that’s only a few weeks to wait!

This book is a long time coming. In fact, it’s a complete rewrite of the first novel I ever attempted to write, twenty years ago. I wrote it for Nanowrimo, hit ‘the end’, and then the laptop it was written on died almost instantly. Perhaps the book was just too evil, or the laptop was too crap, but either way, I lost the lot. Then, a few years ago, I decided to rewrite the whole thing from memory, and found that the tale fit quite nicely as backstory to The Sunset Chronicles’ enigmatic telepath elder, Walker.

I’ll have more details about Walker over the coming weeks, but until then, a few more pieces of news.
